More big price rises on the cards for postage stamps in the UK.
Postal operator Royal Mail has announced an increase to the price of a first class stamp to 76p (from 70p), and the price of a second class stamp to 65p (from 61p).
The firm claim that the increases are required for them to continue to deliver the universal postal service.
The current price cap for second-class stamps is 65p, but this will increase in line with the consumer price index rate of inflation from April. There is no regulated cap for first-class stamps.
