First and second class stamps will both increase by 3 pence today, taking the price of a first class stamp to 70p and a second class stamp to 61p.
Postage for a large First Class letter will increase by 5p to £1.06. While a large Second Class letter will go up by 4p to 83p.
As usual, Royal Mail say they have “considered price changes very carefully and have sought to minimise any impact on customers.”
The last time the price of stamps increase was 26th March, 2018.
Today’s increase is above the price cap of 60p on second class stamps, it remains to be seen if they’ll get in trouble for that from the postal service regulator Ofcom.
